# PM2 6: `pm2 start app.ts` fails with `Interpreter bun is NOT AVAILABLE in PATH` — set `interpreter: "node"`

> PM2 6 picks bun as the interpreter for .ts scripts. Without bun installed, the app never starts, even though Node 24 runs .ts files natively.

## Symptom
```
[PM2][ERROR] Interpreter bun is NOT AVAILABLE in PATH. (type 'which bun' to double check.)
```
The app does not appear in `pm2 jlist` at all.

## What happens (reproduced)
- `pm2 start app.ts` → the error above; nothing starts.
- `pm2 start app.ts --interpreter node` → online, and the process reports `node v24.19.0`.

## Fix
In the ecosystem file:
```js
{ name: "app", script: "src/server.ts", interpreter: "node" }
```
Bun was not installed on the box where this was observed. Where it is, the same default would run your TypeScript on bun rather than node, so check `pm2 jlist` → `pm2_env.exec_interpreter`.
